For more than forty years, the Republican Party has held the reins of leadership in the Town of Gates. During that time, and as a result of that exceptional Republican leadership, residents of the Town of Gates have enjoyed a quality of life that is second to none.
The average taxpayer in the Town of Gates pays less in town taxes than the average taxpayer in any other town with its own police department. The Republican Town Board has worked to keep taxes down while providing a number of outstanding services for those residents. The efforts of the Republican Town Board were recognized last year when Money Magazine selected the Town of Gates as one of it’s “Most Affordable Places to Live in America.”
The Republican team has nurtured the outstanding quality of life in Gates by providing Gates residents with a tremendous array of first rate services that are second to none. Our Parks Department is one of only three in New York to have earned an accreditation from the National Recreation and Parks Association. Our Highway Department is highly regarded for the work it does in keeping the roads clear and maintained. The Gates library has one of the most outstanding collections of any suburban library and the Gates Police provide safety and protection to our residents and businesses.
